I’ve never seen my Mom use lime 🧐. And she would always blend tomato’s and onion and garlic with some water and salt. And she would put a clove of garlic to fry with the rice to add flavor. But hey to each it’s own.
It is lime , but my mom make it. And I am not Mexican I born in the Caribbean
It takes years of practice. Many pots will come out like shit but you will get it eventually.
