You do what you do & we will watch!! You’re loaded with great info . I’m a hit & miss til later … trying to keep up here lol
Gotta ask… is that a grapevine behind you? If so what effect does the wind & cold/snow have on it? I’m z5-6 high desert of Northern Nevada with LOTS of wind… at times extremely strong. I’ve read that grapevines don’t like the wind🤔
Gardening, growing is Definitely a challenge 🤪. 👵🏻👩‍🌾❣️

Homesteading Family has always been and always will be my “go to”! You will never hear a complaint from me if the pantry chats were longer. I am very appreciative that they will be weekly again! I know you both are very busy so please choose what works best for you and the kids! It is a joy for me and I want it to be a joy for you both as well!

I also would like the longer videos. If people don’t want to watch the entire video they don’t have to. Sometimes if I am watching a longer video, I will stop it and come back to watch the remaining.

This may be off topic but you recently posted a poll about which type of cheese we would like to make. I thought all of them but now I'm thinking feta. Has anyone else noticed feta is scarce in the stores in their area? Also, a great way to use up garden produce in summer is to make gazpacho, which is slammin with some feta on top.

I have a question that I wonder if anyone can answer. I like to make infusions, from dried comfrey leaves or nettle leaves or linden flowers or red clover flowers or oat straw. After I strain out the plant matter, would it be more nitrogen-rich or carbon-rich for my compost? Or neither? Thanks.

Finally got on the dairy wait list! So excited! Have a jersey cow that we love and I have been making all our own dairy products since we got her a year and a half ago and I definitely need this class. 😂 I need a time efficient way to make all these wonderful dairy products and still have time for homeschooling my three Littles 😍, house work, the gardens, and making our food from scratch. So I am so excited!! I would totally listen to longer pantry chats while I work but I know you all are busy so I feel bad asking for longer. 😄
You both help me so much! Thanks to you I have a much bigger herb garden that replaced the big flower beds in front of the house. Nice that yarrow, calendula and the others have pretty flowers. 😁

    Don’t mind longer pantry chats!
But I’m also very appreciative for the shorter ones too.
Either way is fine whatever y’all can do would be greatly appreciated!!
    God bless!!

I prefer a rough 30 minute time period as that allows me to visit with you and still get my other chores done. I always check the length of videos and prioritize my viewing schedule according to the amount of time I have available to watch. Longer ones I may not get around to immediately.

As far as how long to make your video, I love it as long as you can make it. For this particular video, I spent all day watching it in spurts when I was taking a break from my work. Go pull some weeds, come in and watch for 10 minutes, run to the store, watch a little more. It was great!

I have not read through the comments so someone else may has already mentioned this; in the last 12 months I have had to move my household, including all of my food storage and pantry including all of my home canned items – which numbers in the multiple hundreds…I found an absolute amazing box to move them in and the best thing is they were free! If you live anywhere near a Yankee Candle retail store, you can call and ask them to save the boxes (and the inserts) that they get their large size candles in. They are absolutely a perfect match for quart size jars. You can fit six jars in by using both the top molded form and the bottom molded form. Once you use both the top and bottom forms, the jars cannot move and cannot touch each other, even when jostled fairly significantly. Hopefully this will help someone else by providing the peace of mind that all the hard work you put into your canning, won't be damaged during a move.

Don't worry about length of videos. I will stick around for an hour if you want to talk for an hour. If I don't have an hour, I'll watch half and then watch the other half later. I really look forward to the pantry chats. I watch on youtube while eating breakfast and then often listen again as a podcast while in the garden.

We are going to have the same problem here in Vermont, but not drought, we are getting too much rain so farmers just can't cut hay and get it dry. It's sad all over with growing stuff.
