This is the one pan chicken dinner that I was constantly begging my mom to make me as a kid – Chicken Cacciatore! Perfectly …
That sauce looks so good. I have to try this.
My grandmother made this in the ‘70s. She used red wine and I do too when I make this dish.
Your video indicates two garlic cloves but your recipe on the web indicates two tablespoons. I did two tablespoons which was maybe four cloves and it was great.
Watched the video – prepared everything beforehand – watched the video again while I cooked the dish – aka "Cooking With Sam". The only thing I would change is…nothing! Fantastic dish. Served it with rice. Do all the prep way ahead of time OR don't partake before you start
My 6 yr old daughter LOVES your youtube!!! She has to watch one of your shows before bed every night.
Incredible 🙏🏽❤️
Making this tonight… except I'm using an Instant Pot. Fingers crossed.
We are the same age. I like to think that I grew up at a great time in our history. From seeing the 1st man on the moon to possibly getting back there in the near future.
Sam and boys, this looked absolutely delicious! Have you ever heard of chicken Marbella? Might be a recipe you would be interested in! ☺️
Do you use sweet or dry vermouth or doesn’t it matter?
thx for inspiring me to cook 🙂 my gf have done all the cooking for 13 years 🙂 now i cook 5-6 nights a week 🙂 thank you!
You’re 63????
40?
Yum! Thanks, Sam!
Just got your 12 inch cast iron pan today can't wait to get it seasoned and make this with it
You should make shrimp ceviche one time
That looks great! I've got to make that next weekend. 🤤
Surprised to see you using cast iron with your tomato based recipe.
I was just thinking about making this, what are the odds.
Regional recipes? How about Utica Chicken Riggies? An upstate New York classic….
Made this for dinner last night. Great Italian comfort food. I added a few sliced mushrooms. Thanks Sam!
OK! 86 the capers & olives period. Use a nice dry white wine and then you have great chicken cacciatore!!!
im making this today. let you know how it went
This looks great. Going to try this meal thanks.
40… yeah, me too!! 🤣🤣🤣
what does one eat with chicken cacciatore as a side?
Back in the Seventies, nobody in my family made this dish, but it was a favorite of mine when we’d eat out. While I don’t think that I had any trouble pronouncing “olive”, I thought that the dish as a whole was called “kitchen cacciatore”. Everyone thought that it was too adorable to correct me.
The boys were very quiet in this one, are you guys ok?
Why would you remove the chicken fat and then add more oil to cook the veg? Madness.
I REALLY liked the fact that this stuck to cooking rather than 20 minutes of talking. Thank you for that! If this is a thing going forward, I'd like to re-subscribe!
I thought grease was fat, and fat was flavor?
Love you content Sam! We are almost moving in into our new home and i can't wait to try out your recipes!! Greetings from Belgium.
My dad made this all the time growing up and I'm a 80s baby lol. It's one of my all time favorite dishes
Wife told me to comment what's up with not using the avocado oil seems like you've switched to just olive oil
Tomatoey chicken, pass lol
I prefer tinga onna tostada with refried beans cream n Mexican cheese wit lettuce
Has your pan lost it’s seasoning? May have been the lighting. Loved the dish.
Makes you old Sam. Call him out Max.
