I have SO MANY PROBLEMS with this recipe… Firstly, WASH. YOUR. CHICKEN. In half a cup of apple cider vinegar and 2 – 3 Tbs of salt and watch the nasty stuff that comes off it… you'll see for yourself. Secondly… salt and pepper as seasoning for AN ENTIRE CHICKEN!? Who hurt you? Who broke your heart and then took your spice rack? Please-o. Season your chicken with minimum 3-4 seasonings for taste. Thirdly… (And say it with me, choir) CRISPY SKIN DOES NOT EQUAL A GOOD ROAST CHICKEN. Genuinely, IDK why that's basically all that's talked about. A good roast chicken has tender meat, savory flavors and leaves you a little bit sleepy after you eat. I mean if you're not lowkey willing to risk getting your butt whooped for stealing someone's left over chicken out of the fridge… IT'S NOT GOOD CHICKEN. And tbh, this recipe would stay in the fridge forever cause it's boring. That's my opinion and I KNOW Black African women would endorse 99.99% of what I said. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

No juices left in the chicken !! No no no ….. The juices are best left inside , just so long as the skin is well ' goldened ' the meat will stay luscious . All the jabbing with a cocktail stick is Totally unnecessary .

I’ve been cooking for yeeeaaarrrsss. Everything looked great until I saw blood. You should never see any blood when a whole chicken is cut off the bone It could’ve cooked a lil longer IJS🤷🏽‍♀️ And Any meat should be cleaned ahead of time like I said I’ve been cooking for years there are a lot of risks you take when meet isn’t cleaned as well.

I don't want to sound like a jerk but this recipe sounds like the most boring most tasteless thing I have ever heard. Where's the other variety of spices that help amplify the natural Taste of the chicken Salt and Pepper can only get you so far you need other spices that make it an experience

I'd rather have a juicy chicken over a crispy skin and each other bites I have would be Everlasting in my opinion.

Was about to switch off after she said you don’t have to wash your chicken, by the time she said just salt & pepper I almost died from Salmonella. I wash my meat in vinegar lemon or lime, followed by a salt flour rub to remove any slime, trim the fat legs & wingtips & feathers, then season with everything in the herb cupboard & fresh ginger & garlic plus more vinegar lime or lemon to marinate (Over night) before that baby sees the inside of a pan or oven, but hey, I also don’t eat my food while its still half alive & haemorrhaging like a wounded soldier on the battlefield! Now understand what my mother meant when she would say “it’s not everyone’s house you can eat in”. Definitely giving this one a miss thanks!

I grew up hating chicken because it was cooked to 200 degrees every time because that's how long it said on the packaging apparently!
Cooking it to 165 is "crunchy" and doesn't taste right according to my Mother who's the worst cook you could ever imagine.
I stay away from my Mothers for meals, always used to get very toxic around mealtimes.

Is it common for white people to not wash their chicken. Like come on are y’all that lazy to wash the sink after cleaning the chicken. I know us Mexicans or every Hispanic knows that you gotta wash that chicken

450°F is way too hot! All the vegetables that were not directly covered by the chicken were burnt to charcoal after only 30 minutes! The chicken was done too. But thankfully it hadn`t yet turned black.
