For every cup of frying oil that's left over, whisk in one tablespoon of cornstarch with a quarter cup of water. Jump to that part of the video: https://youtu.be/qgADlZClDAE?t=28
After going through boiling heat for 24 to 48 hours the molecular structure of the oil breaks down into a carcinogen. Reusing oil causes cancer you fool.
Any side effects of reusing the clean oil after this process
thank you
Didn’t work. Stayed as a liquid never formed a solid. Stood there stirring for 12+ mins. Now my oil is even more dirty. Should have just used the coffee filter and watched some tv…
I always save in the container
Feels so much things can go wrong with this method…
Would this work on commercial deep fryer? 🤔 mine used about 50 lbs. If so, how much starch should I used?
I did try it. Bur the corn flour didn't turn into a blob and got mixed with oil and created a slime like texture deposited in the bottom.
Please anyone can guide. It would really save me some money.
Also guide as when to strain the oil?
When it is hot or cold?
What happens if you reuse the oil, after filtering, more than 3 times? Also what if you used the oil to fry fish, will the fishy flavor also be removed when the oil is filtered and cleaned this way?
Is it Safe to reheat the same oil every time we use it??what about the carcinogens??
The number of folks who are "pro-coffee filter" in this comment section…there are some very strong opinions. 😆 I feel like they didn't try it bf commenting. The point of this is to not only filter out the solids but also clean the oil by absorbing what the coffee filter won't filter out. For me, this works great – it was quicker, cleaner, and more effective. Also, I didn't wait for the oil to completely cool so this process went very quickly.
Eman tepungnya huhu
Does it get rid of hydrogen peroxide?
Great idea thanks
Okay guys I'm nervous. I just reused lard that's been sitting in my oven for over a week. Will I get sick???
A Very good tip That I will take to the Bank
For every 236ml of oil
mix together 60ml water and 1Tbsp cornstarch
Yeah, uh huh. Let it sit and cool. Solids go to the bottom. Decant off the oil until the solids would be poured out and then stop, dump the solids and bit of residual oil out. Then pour it cooled into a plastic jar like those Costco jars for nuts and candy. Some solids are irrelevant because that oil is use only for more frying and any fine solids left will settle out, so decant it off when reusing and pour the solids and bit of oil out.
So the starch binds stuff that's been ionized and mixed with the oil, that's interesting!
Thanks I’ve just tried this..made the flour mixture and added to some used oil with crumbs…the flour thickens absorbing every bit of crumb 😍👌🙌💯it’s a brilliant hack considering the oil price hike 👍👍👍..thank you God Bless🙏😊
What about the LDL?? is this thing going to get rid of it as well 🙂
Wait the coffee filter is less work why would I do that for 20min. That's stupid
Would it eliminate that rancid smell you get after you cooked with it?
