Egg wash on top of crust and a vent cut into center will make crust even better on my opinipn. Thanks for sharing this unique recipe. I was blown away when you stirred in the biscuits.

Every time I try to cook chicken pot pie or any thick, creamy type dish my IP gives me the "burn" display and I have to stop. Anything creamy or gravy like will do this. Does the IP not cook gravy or creamy sauce dishes?

    Looks good.
Question. I find that when I do a release and have to add other ingredients and then have to reseal my pot, I can’t put the cover back on to seal until it cools down. Sometimes this takes a bit of time. Is this normal and do you have any suggestions for cooling it quicker?

I would like to see ideas about how to reheat items in the IP. Granted you probably couldn't reheat this recipe in the IP because of the crust. But something like your lasagna, etc. I look forward to your videos each week.

That is a nice recipe and I will try making some of those chicken pot pies and see how they turn out for me. I have a container of chicken broth which I just put in the freezer a few days ago and also a largge bag of chicken thighs which I boiled also and can use that to make the pies with. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe with us all and I hope you have a great week.

I enjoy your videos. Just wish you could think of some healthy, low-cal stuff (PLEASE!). Your version of chicken pot pie is anything but healthy, with all that flour and puff-pastry….Instant Pot cooking can be healthy, especially for families who don't want to gain more weight! Those dumplings are a 'heart attack waiting to happen'. Isn't there a way to change this fattening recipe?! 🙁

Honestly, I love your recipes! That being said this looks good… but I wouldnt consider it pot pie. Pot pie needs to be a little more juicy… the filling needs to be absorbed by the crust! That's what makes it so delicious. This should be called chicken cake!
