Try a santoku knife. They come in different sizes.

I use the “cheater chicken” to make wraps for dinner also! I like to throw it into a skillet and brown it just a little, then I add bacon, lettuce, tomato, and ranch dressing to our wraps! They are AMAZING and super easy! (*u can even cheat with the bacon and buy the “real bacon” bacon bits!😊)

Omg that sesame chicken is so much simpler than the one I make, 100% making this from now on! I add a dash of toasted sesame oil and use rice wine vinegar 😋👌
You need the bavarian edge knife sharpener from Amazon. I thought I had poor quality knives, but with this sharpener they've been stellar. I had four knives. Chef (the $10 Utopia knife from Amazon), utility, paring, and serrated. None of them were expensive. But they are very sharp and all I need for every task.

Rada knives are really good. I think Amazon sells them. Get a Rada sharpener, too.
Chicago cutlery is fab. Easy to keep sharp. Their 3 piece set is great. Chop6” and 2.5” pairing knife. I’ve used them forever. My four kids all have modern knives. I hated them all. So bought them all a Chicago cutlery set so I have good knives when I go there to cook.
I wish we had u tube and easy recipes 30 years agoprobably 40 years ago my youngest is 31 my oldest is45 9 altogether
Wusthof knives are amazing! They are an investment, but worth every penny. I personally have the Classic style. Also, check with your local higher end grocery store (here in MN it's Byerly's), as they may offer free (or small $$) knife sharpening. After 15 years, I'm finally at the point of bringing mine in to get sharpened. Yes, they have stayed sharp that long! I hope this helps!
I LOVE my Cutco knives. They are guaranteed for life and I'm friends with my rep so whenever they need to be sharpened I can send them off to get sharpened and all I pay is the shipping fee.
