The reason our hotel in Singapore takes this route, my dear Ken, is because celebrities like John Wayne and others actually stayed in the hotel over the years – as it is a historic place. Not just some place that decided to name its rooms after people that don't even know said room exists.
When I see a 47 year old white man with a 19 year old Asian woman I immediately think: mail order bride. Depressing!

Themed hotels never work, the renovation was sad at best. Can't imagine the owner came up with such a theme. I'm a serious boring person and even I felt he was drab. But then again I am not an accountant.

Ken is the typical drab Brit. He thinks he is eccentric but he is as suburban as they come.
Ken has too much money and no sense at all. He lacks a valid, meaningful purpose in life. He is not trying to make guests comfortable he just seems to want to gratify himself with this crazy celebrity idea. It doesn't matter to him that he needs to cater to the people- if they are cold in their room, if they have little kids and need a bit of lightheartedness or coziness in a peaceful atmosphere. What a disaster!

Ignoring the fact he creepily shacked up with her when she was 17, Ken's wife could be a great asset front of house. She's got that kitstchy, ooh err missus sense of humour that works well with the hotel Alex creates.
