I just tried this recipe and I’m AMAZED. I followed everything exactly. I’ve tried making ramen at home before but it just always felt like something was missing. I cannot believe how well this broth came together!Thanks so much for this. And a special thanks to dad for giving us the chili oil recipe 🤤
Yay! Love seeing dad take the reins! This must be serendipity because I have been going through my ramen recipes of late and looking for affordable bulk noodle sources.
For making broths I always keep the scraps and skins, all the cut-offs of root vegetables, onions, garlic, tomatoes in the freezer and just use them for making stocks – so you literally use your waste for good! 🥕 Also I found that boiling the veggies sometimes extracts bitter notes, so usually I’ll just let them steep and simmer.
Love Uncle Roger but I'll defend you on this one!!! Your Ramen is perfection. I know b/c I just made your version yesterday. It turned out amazing and even my meat eating dad loved it.
So fun fact, I've met Gaz at Bali Vegan festival while ago, and I've attended Uncle Roger comedy show back in Kuala Lumpur when he wasn't an Uncle yet haha. Now I really wanna see Uncle Roger reviewing this vegan delightful ramen 🍜 😂😂 I can guess he would say the noodles ratio to the ramen broth is uneven 😂
