Maria, Nisha @rainbowplantlife has a similar sweet potato & chickpea curry on her channel & it is the bomb! She adds spinach ( I use frozen, it’s much cheaper where I live) & you are so right, the flavours are amazing 🤩
Thank you for another great video…simply love watching your channel 🥰

We had a happy accident with what should have been the chicken sandwiches. It turns out I pulled out pork ribs. After painfully removing the rib bones we marinated the pork meat instead of chicken. We ended up making pork sliders. We are planning on making them again with boneless pork chops as fried pork sandwiches popular in the mid-west! So delicious! We made a schiracha mayo to go with them. YUM! DO OVER!

I made the chick pea sweet potato curry for my new DIL who is vegan. It was delicious, however, I did have to add salt to our taste since none was included in the recipe

I’m making the chicken sandwich recipe tonight! I had chicken thighs I didn’t know what to do with and this popped up-so it was fate! 😃Add in that my husband said it looked good, then it’s definitely being made. I realized when I was prepping it that I didn’t have white pepper, so I halved the black pepper-do you think that will work out well? I’m a little nervous! It’s a bit more spice heavy than I usually do. 😬

well, normally I like your videos.. but not this one.. way too complicated and too many ingredients I wouldn't buy or have on hand… I'm sure it tasted good.. but really prefer your much simpler and more common ingredient recipes.. sorry… this is a no for me…

Dollar General have a bunch of cheap spices. Most the time they are under a buck. Sometimes 2 for a buck. I think some people have forgot about Dollar General since dollar Tree. lol. Love Red (Purple) Onions best. That chicken looked yummy. If you want to make it lighter. You could probably cook it in the Air Fryer.

I don't think the first recipe would fly here but that second recipe looked truly really good. I will have to check out this budget bangers or chef whatever and I'll have to go back and watch the video to find his name and I may have to get the girls to let me watch some of the videos on their phones they are on tiktok and I am on YouTube and that's all the whatever that I can use these sounds good and he may have a lot of other ones that we might like these two look like phenomenal recipes it's just my family doesn't like chickpeas and it mostly doesn't like sweet potatoes so I can just see me trying to present that not so good

Hi Maria, I just love watching your videos! Just one thing, although you are doing a fabulous job on everything…. Once your boys start growing up like weeds, you may find this project even more challenging in many ways😀I know by experience boys will easily eat you out of house and home soon enough😍mine are grown, 30 and 36 but even in school it was like a non stop fast cook episode…snacks before and after meals😀and all through the night too…enjoy them with you as much as you can dear… so in the future I look forwards to you battling feeding them on the prices you are perfecting now😊.. but we all know, the budget grows along with the kiddos🥰keep up the good work 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

One of my fave chicken sandwiches is a chicken Caesar sandwich. Marinate the chicken in a bottle of not creamy Caesar dressing, a cup of buttermilk and a lot of minced, fresh garlic. Dredge it in well seasoned flour, shallow fry until done, golden and crispy. I lightly toast potato buns. While they're toasting, peel a couple cloves of fresh garlic, cut the pointy tip off. When the buns are toasted and still hot, gently rub the cut side of the garlic against the toasted inner side of each half. The rough texture and heat makes the garlic melt into the bread. Do this to any bread, add a little butter and it makes super cheap, easy and yummy garlic bread! For the sandwich, I use Ken's Steakhouse Creamy Caesar dressing, spread a little on each half of the bun. Add shredded romaine to the bottom, top with a piece of chicken and the top bun. You could sprinkle some grated Parmasan to the lettuce and voila! Caesar chicken sandwich! Works great with chicken salad too. I tend to buy the Ken's Steakhouse dressings in bulk at my local grocery store when they go on sale for $1.50 a bottle. Sometimes my store has a 10 for $10 sale and I have $1 off coupons. Seems like a lot of dressing at once, but I buy a lot of flavors. Bleu cheese, 2 types of Caesar, 1000 Island, Zesty Italian, Balsamic Vinegarette. Just not Ranch, we're not a Ranch family! I use them all in a million ways.

I love hot honey! The first time I had it was on pizza in NYC. Just drizzled on a plain cheese pie, it's delicious!

Looks scrumptious, will have to try both. You mentioned green beans…I’ve got the DT four slice bacon, a cut up onion & long green beans (frozen) on the stove right now for later. My fave!

I make the chickpeas and sweet potatoes and I love it. I cook for my sister too, she is not wild about it but will eat it. I am left to eat it for a few days and I am glad and love it. I do not put a hot pepper in it, that would not be good for my sensitive mouth

My fave chicken thigh recipe. I make it in the slow cooker but it can be done in the oven or on the stove top or in an instant pot
North African chicken and chickpea stew.
Canned tomatoes, canned Chickpeas, a chopped onion, chopped garlic, chicken thighs (can also leave the chicken out for a veggie or super low budget meal). Dump all of these into your slow cooker or pot/pan.

Add 4 tsp paprika, smoked if you have it, 2 tsp cumin, 1 tsp ground coriander, 1 tsp cinnamon. You can add chilli powder but its not necessary. Salt and pepper to taste.

Just set it going for 6 hrs low, 4/5 high. Delicious with rice, bulgur wheat, cous cous or just crusty bread.
