That’s very traditional in Portugal, we call them “batatas a murro”, which translates into punched potatoes. Usually served with baked cod fish, but they also make a delicious starter. Big fan of your channel by the way!!

I was actually the different as a child :0 I would eat any type of potato BESIDES mashed potatoes- I've always had texture problems with food (still do, getting better though) and mashed potatoes were always the food that would MAJORLY set off my instinct to get the food out of my mouth because of the texture. Sadly I still don't like mashed potatoes, not sure if I ever will tbh, but I'll still eat any other type of potato lmao- I don't like purple potatoes though….the only type of potato I've tried that I refuse to eat
