As a Greek I surely give you a 9/10! I subtracted this 1 point only because you NEVER EVER cut your pita in half no matter what… You are only allowed to grab a couple of potatoes that are on top before start biting the gyros…
in tzatziki, you also squeeze half or a whole lemon (depending on the quantity u wanna make) and you also don't need to throw away the cucumber water, instead, u can add some more yogurt and keep the water. PS: 10$ for a gyro should be punishable by law as a criminal offense
You did so great. Everything is like we do it in Greece and then…. you had to had to cut the whole soulvaki in half… like it is some taco thing or whatever you eat there. JK but do not do it again 🤣🤣 Either way, Amazing bro!
Just made this today and it killed. I have to say, though, it is labor intensive, and completing all the steps between the chopping and prep can easily take 3 hours.
I recently learned I can't eat aliums (onions and garlic). Is there any kind of replacement for these in a recipe life this that relies on those flavors?
Just made these today, pita and all, and WOW. Well worth it! I did make some changes to the tzatziki by adding fresh dill instead of parsley, and added juice of a lemon! 😀
Hey Joshua.. Really enjoy the channel. I was wondering if you could do a video on Backpacking recipes? I though that would be a cool spin on the show! Thanks
That’s one amazing gyro, 😁
Josh what are you playing at? Wheres the chilli sauce?
GIVE THAT TZATZIKI THAT DILLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
just hit the fries in the oven..
you gotta count the fact that it's unpaid labor, if it takes 3 houras to buy and cook the things it ends up being a lot.
How tf does he measure water so precisely?
Goat flow
I’m never watching another video.
Dude it's not gyros if it's not spinning. Gyros literally means "spinning"…. stop lying to people

*most store bought pita IN THE UNITED STATES is trash
FTFY
(possibly anywhere outside the Middle East, but that's whee I am, and supermarket pita here is often better than anything I've had in the US.)
As a Greek, i think you nailed it. Although i was expecting a sourdough Pita bread from you 🙁
Like a shawarma!

Massive greek culture here in Melbourne, Australia. All my Greek mates remind us they are Greek VERY regularly. WHY.
Perfection.
That looks delicious!
can you do this with a pizza stone instead of a steel? or does the baking sheet work better?
"What comes after papa's big meat? papa's white sauce." 😀
Josh could you do polish "pierogi"?
I ate this in good restaurant and i dont know how to do this dish

2:41 >$7.41 for 3lbs of Boneless Pork Boston Butt
Excuse me? Where is he getting the meat for $2.41/lb???
Even freaking Walmart won't go lower than $3.00/lb! This $2 Gyro is a lie from the start!
Don’t forget to hit the gym after all these videos packing on some weight there buddy
WHAT COMES AFTER PAPAS MEAT?
PAPAS WHITE SAUCE
No parsley in the tzatziki, Weiss guy. Dill.
Feta
This is a Shawarma, not a gyro.
There is no way this is $2
If you put french fries in anything like a gyro/pita/taco/quesadilla/burrito you're 101% a serial killer and should never enter a kitchen ever again.

Too many gimmicks.

So we got
“But cheaper”
“But better”
But what about “but healthy”
Good recipe, buy annoying delivery and editing.

Good god, where do you live that people charge you 10-12 bucks for a Gyro? Over here they go for like 4 bucks tops.
Look, I am Greek and this is dead accurate!
As a Greek I can say it looks pretty good but it's to clean so it lacks originality. 8/10 because everything is so clean and healthy.
Where are you buying pork butt that cheap
I love that this guy is drenched in sauce! ahahaha <3
try adding dill and red wine vinegar in your tzatziki. makes ton of a difference. Overall great job!!
Make the Chicken on Rice by Halal Guys….but cheaper!!!
1:58 I love summer ^^
Bullshit was that 3 dollars of oil in that pot haha
