Tom and Melissa, I am from Ohio, the 66 year old child of parents from West Virginia and Tennessee. So yes we ate cooked cabbage on New Years cooked with a piece of silver. We also always had pork. The pork I was told was for Good Luck. We also eat the raw core while the cabbage was cooking. I never had salt on it though. I have to tell you I love watching you. My husband will also watch with me sometime. He also is a retired Chemistry and Physics teacher. He just retired in May 2023 after 43 years.

Thank you for all the amazing recipes that y'all share with us each week. I've been watching your videos for a couple years and now my hubby watches with me. I made the macaroni cheeseburger soup for supper and oh my goodness it was delicious. It smells so good while cooking. My 11 yr old granddaughter loved it and kept saying how good it was and that I did a great job. This is definitely a new favorite for my family. My 15 yr old cheese loving winnie dog even got a couple pieces of the shredded cheese 🙂 Thank you for this very delicious recipe. I hope y'all have a very blessed New Year!
Don’t eat rice, pasta, or potatos, but these recipes are versatile all the same for us on low carb..especially with bread. I use almond flour now to make bread and waffles.

Our Thanksgiving got cancelled by my husband, because he decided a couple of days before, was a good time to have surgery on his nose, from an accident 2 yrs prior, lol. Then for Christmas, I got the flu and pneumonia in both lungs 🤦🏼♀️ So, it was just my husband and I, and my daughter and grandson dropped presents by very quickly. My grandson had the flu too, and my husband's daughter's family. A lot of ppl sick this past month. Stay safe and well everyone! Happy New Year!
