The onion in the bottom of the crockpot does work, it has to be sliced thick, I put them under roast, they don't break up until they are caramelized and at that point your food is done, I also love the flavor it adds to what I cook, this is a wonderful ideal for Thanksgiving that could be applied to any big gathering or large family. Thanks for the video and sharing recipes and seasoning techniques with us.

I love this! I can never fit everything in my oven and have everything done at the same time. I started doing this a few years ago with the stuffing and mashed potatoes but I only have two crockpots so that's as far as I've taken it. It really does save a ton of room and not as much scrambling to mash potatoes at the very end when everyone is waiting.

Ahhh… interesting thought process. Could work for people in less than ideal situations (I have a microwave and a crockpot and nothing else to cook with). I'm going to use my stove and oven. I appreciate the effort.
