So this dish looked interesting and we ( as a family) enjoy all the ingredients so figured I’d give it a try. I blended the bananas in chili sauce and cream…. seen in another recipe. Its FANTASTIC! Kinda tastes like India’s Butter chicken. It’s strange but so good!
I grew up using the chili sauce in ground beef and making tacos. We call them sweet tacos… kinda like manwich sauce in a taco. Yes it’s a crazy white persons food but totally crave able.

Looks very similar to/reminds me of Saba. Like the Gros Michel, it has a firmer bite to it compared to other Bananas. Filipinos have been using this variety of Banana to cook desserts like Bananan Que, Turin, Minatamis na Saging (used in Halo-Halo), and Guinataang Bilo-Bilo. We also use it in savory dishes like Pochero, Nilagang Baka, and Arroz ala Cubana. 😊 I like eating it raw too! When it gets ripe, it can get really sweet!
Awesome video, as always, Emmy! Thank you for all your hardwork! 😊

Urgh…Flying Jakob is the most revolting, vile, disgusting thing ever! Me and my sister refused to eat it when we were younger. As a child I'd put up a fight everytime and my parents had to force me to eat it and even then I refused, that'show much I hate it. 🤣 So in the end, my parents stopped making it.

Did Julia come for my girl Emmy?!
All jokes aside this recipe is very interesting. I also have a dislike for bananas, but I do love banana bread. Is that weird?

Basically, all other bananas (including those that are generally fed to animals) are nicer than is Cavendish (at least among those that I've tasted) … because Cavendish were optimised for industrial production / transport, not for taste or texture.
