instead of usins foil to make a rack, put some extra jar rings on the bottom of the pan.
You can use your oven for sterilization instead some pot. I usually put jars in to oven 32 oz jars for 12-15 min
To lift jas from the bottom of he pot,you can put 1 or 2 thick clean towels on the bottom of your pot. Place jars on top and proceed! Done the many of times without incident!

Question! How long should I wait before opening my pickles? Some people say to wait a few weeks but I’m not sure

i used the Mrs. Wages recipe and you boil them 15 minutes. Yes they were nasty and mushy soft

Does the little thing in the middle of the lid has to pop down? You know like the ones at the store the little circle thing is up… I canned some tomatoes for the first time and I heard the popping and they are all down. Any thoughts?!
