Making this tomorrow, got the chicken thighs marinating.
The only thing I changed was the addition of orange peel, rice wine, white pepper and just a little ground cayenne.
Gai lan is one of my favorite things but I have to drive to get it and you don't know what quality it will be when I get there so I'm using overpriced baby broccoli stir fried with mushroom.
So good with steamed rice, one of my go to meals for sure.

I love the taste coz I just made it. But i was very disappointed about the procedure. 15 minutes of cooking in the oven wasnt enough the chicken was still uncook. You should've put the proper cooking time.

Made this for lunch and whole house smell amazing from the five spices. I didnt have hoisin sauce and i don't think i will use it again so i did some research and found out that soybean paste and kicap manis are good substitute for hoisin sauce! I used my thai brand soybean paste but I think miso will also work. I cooked my chicken in frying pan since I'm using oven for cheesecake. I didnt need to make another basting sauce since I'm using frying pan and I simply use all the delicious extra marinade in my bowl

i really love your “all access” subscription but theres no option to choose / edit specific sauce that i personally like, and the option on each plan doesnt show written info about each sauce its just a pictures which is hard to see. Im looking forward for any consideration.Thank You
