How do you spread bacteria by washing chicken? It goes into the oven. And, of course, you must wash everything else with hot water and soap.

By the way, cutting chicken or any meat on a wooden cutting board is a good way to spread germs. I use a plastic one that gets washed any time we cut meat. Especially not good if cutting veggies on the same cutting board.

    So there’s that.

The batch cook freezer meals is a new journey for me. You have made everything look so easy, and I love that you also show us how to reheat everything. I was already worried about pasta and mash potatoes in batch cooking, but i will definitely try it now. Thank you ❤

Hi Darlene. I’ve been watching your videos for a few yrs now. I’m also a cello Canadian from southern Ontario (Hamilton) I love watching your freezer meals,I’m a widow of almost Yrs, and two grown son who have families of their own… I just wanted to mention that I am full blooded Italian: the reason your sauce is watery, don’t cook your sauce with the lid on the whole time.. because it retains a lot of liquid. Also let your sauce cook for 1 1/2 hrs. you will see the difference and I’m sure you would love it much better… another hint is add half teaspoon of baking soda in your sauce half way through cooking time.. I remember you saying that your husband can’t eat red pasta sauce..my parents had to do it for me with i was a teen. My late husband had the same issue., but not with my sauce. Hope that helps you.
    Sending you love and light..

Next time your out of tomato paste….just simmer your sauce with the lid off or at least tilted so the water can evaporate during the simmer. That's how we canners do our fresh tomatoes into sauce for canning.
