    Why your rice no wash?
Best to soak to remove phytic acid so nutrients easily to absorb.
I use sambar powder which has everything.
Just add fresh vegetables & meat.

Hi Steve😁. This remindse of when you made chicken&sunchokes last winter. I eat a lot of lentil's and this sounds good! The good thing about making a cooking video is that you made your dinner also! Two birds with one stone. Thanks Steve, cya.

Garam Masala: I was making a chicken curry recipe that needed garam masala (Ball Canning Cookbook), which I did end up pressure canning. I checked my local stores and could not find garam masala. I googled how to substitute it and had to make my own. Does anyone know where to buy it? I prefer not to use Amazon if I don't have to.

awesome recipe, very good for convalescing too. You could soak the lentils overnight if you wanted too. Some cashew nuts and vegie stock instead of salt would make it vego/vegan without the chook. You have made your solar power pack work more efficiently by just adding the oil, it allows the internal temp to get higher therefore cutting potential cooking time 6 min is amazing.

The only reason not to add a lot of garlic is if you're cooking a recipe titled,"How to cook one clove of garlic." Even then, I'd add 2 cloves just to be sure I had enough 😂

This is now my favorite cooking show. The precise measurements were so helpful lol. I audibly gasped when you poured the vegetable oil in. You’d definitely be everyone’s favorite bartender with that pour, Fantastic! Need more videos just like this!!!

The ingredients to this look delicious. I've been looking for a good lentil recipe. I have never heard of garam masala and had to look it up. OMGOODNESS, I'm pretty sure I need this in my life. The fact that all this was shelf stable makes it even better. Writing it all down for the recipe book. Thanks Steve
