Swap meet: kids clothes, backpacks, jackets would be good items to sell at yard sales now and the swap meets. Schools start up very soon now. Praying that kids and teachers, maintenance eorkers, bus drivers, admin staff all are safe going back to school!!

Delicious food as always! You don’t really need Hello Fresh, because you cook just great without it. That’s a lot of food and will be excellent for leftovers. Yum!

    Homemade Tonkatsu Sauce
This recipe shows you how to make a quick & easy Tonkatsu Sauce from scratch. Serve it with tonkatsu or other deep fried dishes.
    Prep Time
    5 mins
    Total Time
    5 mins
Course: CondimentsCuisine: JapaneseKeyword: tonkatsu Servings: 3 tablespoons Author: Namiko Chen
    Ingredients
1 Tbsp ketchup (Some ketchup is sweeter than others, so please adjust the amount of sugar)
2 ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce (I use Japanese brand "Bulldog" Worcestershire sauce (Usuta-so-su, ウスターソース), which is milder and less sour than Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce. Please adjust the taste.)
1 ½ tsp oyster sauce (If you're allergic to shellfish, use LEE KUM KEE Vegetarian Stir-Fry Sauce)
1 ⅛ tsp sugar (Add more sugar, if needed)
    Instructions
Combine all the ingredients in a small bowl and whisk together. Adjust the sauce according to your liking.
    To Store
You can store in an airtight container and keep in the refrgerator for up to 2-3 weeks or freezer for 3-4 months.

Katsu sauce or Tonkatsu sauce is basically Japanese-style BBQ sauce for fried meats. The main ingredients are Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, sugar and other seasonings.

Hi Rhoda! Thanks for the video! So glad you enjoyed your Hello fresh meal! That's nice because you can try dishes that you never tried before! It looked delicious!Mint plants can be grown very easily! Maybe your daughter in law could give you a start or maybe you could find a plant at the store. Plant it in your backyard and you can enjoy fresh tea all year! They come back every year. Take care!

Each meal is supposed to serve 2 individuals. Therefore, you might have served half the rice, cooked the carrots as directed and served 1/2 the meat for the one meal portion. PS, my friend is Japanese, and typically, katsu is served over finely shredded raw cabbage. Makes for nice presentation, adds nutrition/crunch and is a good way to offset the fried pork. Just passing that on. Or, if you need that many more calories and are truly hungry, a small cup of miso or other soup, and/or a side salad would do the trick. Marinated Japanese style cucumbers are a favorite in our home. One caveat to people considering this meal service. If you do not cancel or skip by a certain time, your credit card will be charged and you will get more meals. Have to be on top of this type of thing.
