One of the main parts of Mexican rice is the oil that you coat the the rice in to seperate it. The good trick would be to have the rice that has been cooked i n a little bit of oil along with the onion and garlic.

I don't know man. The end product seemed great but I am Mexican and I have never seen another Mexican make rice like this. This does look healthier than traditional Mexican rice, but Idk if I would call this "Mexican rice." Doesn't take away the fact that your recipe looks delicious.

That's not Spanish rice. Look at the texture. He washed the rice and he wasn't supposed to. We don't live in a world anymore where we have to worry about washing the rice. The only point of washing rice anymore is it changes the texture. Spanish rice is not sticky rice. Any Spanish rice recipe that calls for washing rice is an old recipe from a time when washing rice was a necessity.
This is the simplest recipe I’ve found for rice like this. I changed up the spices by adding a little cumin and paprika, added some tomato paste as well. Turned out great though. Thanks for being straight to the point with this video. Also holy shit I wish I could dice onions as proficiently as you.
