I legit didn't know spam was dislike because as being a half korean guy living in a korean community for my childhood it was like pretty normal to have kimbap with spam eggs and danmuiji as a quick lunch and it's so good.
Gurrrrlllll yaaaassss. I'm a carribbean Hispanic and we do this alot too but sometimes we switch spam for vienna sausages. It's soooo tasty lol. Idk if other Latinos do this too.
