I just discovered your channel because Cass mentioned you recently and I just love your videos! Only seen a few so far but will go through all of them as I love learning about your lifestyle and also just really like the style of your videos, very calming ๐
I live in an apartment on the 7th floor and only have a little concrete balcony but I am attempting to grow stuff. I lost my sunflowers due to the wind, my lettuce got over run by leaf miners but so far my brocoli, onions, beetroot and carrots appear to be doing okay and my logan Berry Bush not sure about him, that may be a fail.
Good morning, Lisa! Love watching your videos ๐ thanks for inspiring. I am really thinking of homeschooling my children. My oldest is signed up for preschool this fall, but I'm thinking I might cancel. Do you have any videos on homeschooling or what program you use? It is all new to me so an advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, God bless.
A comment about cleaning eggs. If you keep the eggs dry from the beginning, they won't need refrigeration for several weeks. An egg that was washed absorbs some water and ages sooner.
Loved this video! โค๏ธ Reminds me of when my kids were little. My boys wore striped t shirts and overalls and had their chores too. We had a dairy farm and it was endless work. I made sure the chickens laid their eggs before letting them out in the morning, this sure saved us from going on an egg hunt ๐๐ฅ๐ The ones we didnโt find was a new brood of chicks that appeared out of nowhere! ๐ฌ Love your homestead!
Reminds me of days gone bye. I grew up on a small farm with cows, chickens, horses, pigs, a mule. So many memories of gathering eggs, straining milk, making butter and buttermilk. This was before the fancy tools we have today. Your kids are learning so much. God bless you.
Home Depot and Lowes have this fly bag that has dry dung in it. You add water and hang in a tree at the back of the property. All the flies go inside the bag and they canโt escape. I love this bag. Less flies in the summer.
Loved this morning tour of your homestead!
How do you keep snakes away from the chicken eggs? So that itโs save for the kids to pick them and clean.

You can make a natural fly spray out of apple cider vinegar, dish soap, cedar tree oil, lemon grass oil, citronella oil and rosemary oil.
How much acreage do you have cow and calf on?
Cass (Clutter Bug) said you were a must subscribe. Looking forward to following ๐
Oh my goodness GINGER is a beauty! ๐ฑ๐

I wish all dairy cows could be treated well like this ๐
Ginger is a beautiful milk cow. Lean, a beautiful coat and looks really healthy!
