I'm from Canada and my mom and dad were born in Scotland. My mom used to make mince all the time and I loved it . This is the first time I've seen a recipe for it . Unless you are from Scotland or parents were no one here knows what I'm talking about. I will be watching your podcast from now on for maybe some stoveys.

Looks very tasty, simple & not expensive might make this for tea tomorrow night as apart from the fresh garlic & the swede I have all the rest of ingredients but I do have dried garlic & butternut squash so coukd replace the swede with the squash as want to use it up. It looks very tasty

What type of potato do you recommend for this recipe? I normally use Maris Pipers (great for mashing), but Iโ€™m not sure theyโ€™d retain their shape in the slow cooker for so long. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
