    Ingredients
    1 cup boiled chickpeas (kabuli chana)
    1 cup soaked basmati rice
4 tablespoons cooking oil
    1 bay leaf (tej patta)
    1 black cardamom
4 green cardamom (elaichi)
    1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
1 cup sliced onion
    1 tablespoon ginger and garlic paste 
green chilli, sliced
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
    1-2 diced potatoes
1 teaspoon Garam Masala
    1 cup water
    Method
Set the sauté mode of IP for 10 minutes. Add cooking oil, bay leaf, cardamom, and cumin seeds to the inner pot of IP. Saute spices for 20 – 30 seconds to release aroma. Next, add sliced onion and fry till the onion becomes light golden. Keep stirring them while frying. Add ginger-garlic paste, salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, chana masala, and green chilli. Stir to combine. Saute for 1 – 2 minutes add potato,boiled channa /chickpeas, add rice,and water and cook the pulao for 3 minutes. After the set cooking time, open the lid and fluff the rice using a service spoon. Serve chana pulao with raita and enjoy!
