Really enjoy these shopping videos and comparing prices. Sadly ours appear to be more expensive than in France but let’s face it – everywhere food is expensive! I hate waste too and love a good charity shop find! Thank you Jane and Mike.

Wow those prices es on vegetables are good. The price of a small head ettuce here (ohio) is rarely under $3.00! Cucumbers like that $3.00 for 2! Food that is crap is cheap though 😔

Hi Jane and Mike been a while since I've commented! But I watch all your videos. Some of the prices are similar here in Sicily as we're also euros. I buy smaller double packs of 'lardons' pancetta a cubetti. And like you I put them everywhere !! In pasta with sauce or cream or plain pasta with pancetta and zucchini!! Also in rosottos or soups, I love items that are versatile. We are also very fortunate to have lots of fruits and veg grown on the island also our meats are produced locally. Obviously we pay a lot more for imported goods. Although we have recycling here we don't have the facilities like you where you can buy things which I'd love to have here!! Sicilians don't like buying used items!! Have a great week and look forward to seeing your next videos and projects. 🤗

For St. Patrick's Day, March 17th, I wanted to get some corned beef. I found a two and a half pounds brisket marked at about $17. I was planning to boil it with cabbage like my Mother cooked it. However, It was on sale for only $3.45 per pound so I paid a little over $8 for it. I shared it with my son and his family. They all enjoyed it with me.

Your groceries are at really good prices over there. Things are so much higher in our area in the United States. I know your gas prices are higher, though. My question is : do you guys have multiple stores available to your area? Are there farmer's market in your area? I guess that's 2 questions 😉

It seems like you pay much less for groceries over there. Here it's hard to get a loaf of bread for less than $4.50 and the meat prices have us becoming involuntary vegans. great video!

Watching you drive on your road I noticed no litter. Littering is a big problem in many parts of USA. Of course the country is so big large areas of it are pristine, too.

Hi Jane and Mike, since Brexit can you still by UK products in French supermarkets? I really miss our Woodburn we had in our tied cottage. We used to have a lady sweep who was lovely and did a great job.

Hi Jane, I really wish to know how to lower eye care cost in France . It is really expensive and draining a lot of money. Is there any eye care insurance that help to cover in long run ?
    Waiting for an advise

I live in Australia, our prices a way higher here than you pay in France. A small cauliflower was Aus $5.99 each, broccoli was $6.99 a kilo and green beans were $11.99 a kilo when I went green grocery shopping last Saturday. Prices have risen quite a lot here since the start of the year. Thank you for sharing.

Love your Tupperware bowls. My daughter and I go to a particular store that sells mostly vintage items. I must say I felt really old when I saw so many items I have had for many years in my home! They just don't make items to last like that anymore.
