    🦃🌾HAPPY THANKSGIVING!🌾🦃

I’m alone for T-day and usually buy a two pack of frozen Cornish hens – one for Thanksgiving and one for Christmas. I started looking early this year, but they weren’t available anywhere. In years past, I’ve also roasted a chicken , but this year I ended up buying a rotisserie chicken. They heat up well in a convection oven or air fryer with crispy skin.

I went easy with Stove Top and my grocery stores all make great chicken gravy in their delis (I still buy this when family comes – I roast a turkey and just stir in a packet of turkey gravy mix made with turkey broth/juices to give it a turkey flavor). I made my green bean casserole (not a fan of canned soups) and real mashed potatoes. Pumpkin pie for dessert. Half keto, half not. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Just wanted real potatoes and stuffing after years of mashed cauliflower, etc. And, of course, the gravy isn’t keto… The green bean casserole, candied sweet potatoes, and pumpkin pie are all keto, though… And keto dinner rolls.

I made four pies today and then I made chiles rellenos, my kitchen is a disaster….. Tomorrow I am going to make everything on my own so just hope I don't have to cook in the morning before I start my Thanksgiving stuff. 😶😳 Thankfully I at least used frozen pie crust because I made such a mess either way. 😭

I make my green bean casserole with the cream of Poblano HEB soup!! This year I am going to add one of the poblano and one of the jalapeño. I haven't ever tried to make the turkey in an oven bag but will maybe try it next year, too late this year.

Great advice! Wow some of the prices at your store are outrageous, yikes…especially the fruit platters. I guess it's bad all over. We're up north and I haven't seen fruit get that high, at least not yet lol…I'm sure it's coming. Thanks for taking us shopping, great video. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. 🦃🥧

    Happy Thanksgiving.
Bless you for even going near a grocery store just prior to Thanksgiving.
A few years ago I took a woman shopping for her Thanksgiving dinner. She was from out of state, she and her sons had been in a terrible car accident. One son was still in ICU in the hospital, her car was a complete loss. She had just got an efficiency apartment near the hospital and had nothing for Thanksgiving. Rather than me shopping for her – I took her so she could choose her dinner, I am glad I did.
I was humbled by her choices for Thanksgiving. Instant mashed potatoes, canned corn, packaged gravy, we did find a fresh turkey breast and a disposable pan to cook it in, a store made pumpkin pie and cool whip.
She was thrilled to have Thanksgiving in her new home.
Blessings to you – enjoy your time with family.

I made bean and cheese tamales and chicken tamales using your videos on YouTube. My first time ever.. yikes, hope they come out… took me two days! Making Borracho beans, Mexican rice, enchiladas, salads, queso and chips. The pies are all from HEB bakery – Apple pie, Pumpkin pie and pecan pie all from HEB bakery. Thanks for your videos and Happy Thanksgiving to you! 💕

I wish we had an HEB like that one, in Alvin they don't have a lot of what you showed and it is getting less and less all the time. I really enjoy your videos and the recipes you share
