I made this tonight but more realistically for a weekday minimum wage worker in a tiny apartment kitchen and it was great.

    The more realistic recipe:

    Ingredients:
    Brian L's cheese sauce
    Deli roast beef
Any sandwich roll (I used Portuguese)
    Butter or margarine
Yellow onion (pre-diced to pay the ADHD tax)

-Put deli roast beef in a 300 F oven. 10 minutes for a pound of meat.
-Make cheese sauce as directed, but add black pepper at the end
    -Make caramelized onions
    -Empty onions in bowl
    – Melt butter in pan used for the onions
    -Toast roll in buttered pan
-Remove roast beef from oven and assemble

*This YouTube comment is not designed like a standard recipe, however, these are the basic steps I took to Weeknightify this dish

I'm making this tonight. I've read a lot of comments here and and plan on replacing the red ranch sauce (which goes on the bottom bun) with Catalina dressing. Next I'm going to pile the roast beef nice and high and top it off with the cheese sauce. Although the tangy sauce for this recipe sounds fantastic, I crossed the border into Detroit about a month ago and picked up a bottle of Arby's sauce and will use that to top it off instead. I should have also picked up a bottle of Arby's horsey sauce while I was there and am now regretting not doing so. As a replacement I picked up some horseradish mayo today along with a bag of frozen spiced curly fries. Can't wait for tonight's meal.

Poor Brian is so conditioned to dancing while eating his wife has to apologize every time they go out to dinner because its practically hypnotic at this point.

Brian Lagerstrom: "Gee Whiz, Doctor, every time I eat, I feel the need to dance!"

Giggling doctor: "If I could cook like that, I'd dance too!"

The cheese sauce is the bomb. The simple recipe makes a satiny smooth sauce unlike recipes that start with a béchamel. This is my new cheese sauce recipe for everything – broccoli, nachos, you name it.

Hey Bri..in many of your awesome recipes you say add hot sauce. What is your preferred brand for the generic hot sauce. Or better yet what do you reccomend using. Some hot sauce is so distinct it can really change a recipe. Thanks man!! Keep up the awesome work. Your videos are the best out there !!

Sandwich? That is a burger. Sandwiches use sliced loaf bread. And why is the cheese orange for gods sake?? Cheese isn't that colour! Ever! And what is a Carmalised Onion? You mean CaRAmelised tight?

There is no Arby's sauce on a beef n cheddar… the red sauce is a catalina style ranch, very similar to french dressing… I wish people would get this right when doing vids like this…

Chef Brian: I’m gonna take a moment and be that guy. My kids and I watch you and other cooking channels to help them understand what cooking is and the time and care it takes to make something delicious. So it was a bit disheartening to have my 11-yo daughter look at me like, “oh, my God, did he really just say what I thought he did?” on this video. (The part about the dick-measuring contests, of course.) Some of the channels we watch are coarser, and I’m ready to react if something comes up that needs explaining (or blowing off). We have watched your videos for several months, and there was never any indication of that. We love your videos otherwise and have made multiple recipes. All that to say we appreciate you and your work, and that this offhand comment could have been left out with no loss in quality. Thanks for reading; I wouldn’t be advocating for my kids properly if I didn’t flag this for you. Thanks for reading.

Already a big fan, Bri, but this just increases my esteem for you. People love to bag on Arby's, but the Beef N Cheddar is legit the greatest fast food sandwich of all time. Now I just need me a Jamoca shake…
