David Seymour has worked WAY too hard on his channel for the past few years for people to be stealing his content and his ideas, not only without giving him any credit, but taking the actual idea from an email sent by his mother trying to get him to reach more people with his videos. How could a person do that smh

Here's the solution to the loose consistency in your second attempt.:

Aside from not rinsing the pasta in order to maintain as much of the starch, do not coat with the sauce / gravy. Instead, swirl them in a bowl with a beaten egg, and then give them a gentle toss in some finely grated Parmesan cheese before assembling. Then pipe a little of the sauce into each rigatoni, followed by the cheese mixture, and topped with another piping of the sauce. This will hold together like a meatloaf.

Ditch the spring thing and use a large deep cast iron vessel so you can use all the pasta yet not crush the openings packing them in the pan? I know, cast iron and tomato… just take care of your iron and its fine. The cast iron should make for some nice crunch too!
