Many of my favorite recipes are from The Pioneer Woman ..the only thing I don't do is sprinkle parsley on every finished dish
Pathetically unoriginal, uninspired, unhealthy, and boring. Who greenlit this lame show? There are millions of home cooks more capable. Most of her recipes are basic stuff that people have been making forever, and are as unhealthy as can be. You need a show to know how to do this stuff? PBS still has shows by the best chefs like Jacques Pépin, Pati Jinich, and Ming Tsai. The woman on this show is barely a hash slinger compared to those chefs. She says she loves her family but she's killing them with her high-sugar, fat, and salt diet. They're all diabetes and cardiovascular disease patients in waiting.
My dad cooks these for Sunday dinner sometimes always wonderful and super tender. I like having it with rice for lunch on Monday.

Who thinks a roast is tough because you cooked it too long? That story sounds fishy to me.
Roasts are just simple good food. You just have to cook them low and slow. Roasts were one of my favorite foods growing up. When i was a teenager, i would turn my nose up to steak, but chow down on a good roast.
Since then i have come to appreciate a good steak, but i still prefer a slow cooked roast. There's just something about it.
Plus, being able to crock pot a roast means you can cook that bugger all night long. ^-^
