We challenged resident Bon Appétit supertaster Chris Morocco to recreate Martha Stewart’s Baked Alaska in the BA Test Kitchen.
Bring Hannah back as judge. I liked her. Fair but kind
He is the only chef I know that can taste "Bright Red"
Love the little Chef Jesus cameo
He doesn't have "super taster" abilities though, he's consistently terrible at this 🤣
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&Loved by so many people this recipe must be mentioned in khal so don't forget to add^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Egg whites? In this economy??
This was the worst scoring ever! This should've been his lowest score ever. Some serious grade inflation
I ain't piping. Fair.
At least Chris's version looks better.
Ngl most of the time in this series I was usually finding the end scores generous but this was different. There was a lot of missing and wrong ingredients and it looked way different. End scores were way more than it actually was and I was a little bit bothered by it. 🤣
I think the first scores kind of set him up for failure. They were so close to his that it didn’t really give him the chance to realize he was way off with technique and ingredients. Same with appearance.
I’d rather eat either of Chris’s versions over Martha’s.
I don't think this was quite a fair test, like Chris said the cake could be a whole episode by itself. That said, I did find it amusing he used a blowtorch on a recipe called Baked Alaska…
chris looked so disappointed at the end
To be called a "super taster" shouldn't you get 100%?
How much food does this channel waste?
what do you mean?!?! the whole egg doesn't count as egg whites and yolk?
Chris' version is so beautiful
I would stroke out if I ever found out he was cheating lol
I felt like the first one was closer but somehow scored lower….
Bwiset subscription pa kayo
gosh i miss when andy was the judge not this pretentious lady like cmon have a little fun don't treat this like it's 9th grad AP Social Studies give me a break. this series should be fun this feels like school. YUCK!
Have the hostess look at the camera too while talking to Chris
Yeah the scoring on this one feels really weird. Especially for ingredients, where Chris left out the cherry ice cream and did almost a completely different cake
Normally i think the judges are too harsh but she was way too generous across the board
did he not do everything wrong… what are these scores
"It's not. It's not actually ice cream, it's a frozen dairy product." lol love it
I…felt like the end scoring lost the fun these videos originally had… it felt like a passive aggressive performance review. I’m unsure if that was intentional, but this is food, I wish it was more light hearted…😢
Chris totally overthought it , though I bet his was also delicious 😋 especially the first one. "Baked" was a good hint to technique.
she was way too generous with the scores hahahaahah
Sorry but this is one of Chris' biggest failures. But admittedly, Baked Alaska is one of my least favorite desserts. Also, Martha's choice of Cherry "Ice Cream" is a product I abhor. IT tastes like Robitussin to me. I wouldn't even allow it into my house. At least Chris' version sounds edible.
Maraschino cherries are inedible IMHO. Give me Luxardo any day (or maybe Amarena if Luxardo is not available). If on the fake red maraschino are available, I would refuse to eat or use them and would prepare a different item.
Yay thank you!!
I was so worried I wouldn’t get more 🥺🥺
Straight F
there are some vids where Chris is judged too harshly, I think still to this day he has never got a full A before. That said, this video was way to generous.
didnt she go to prison? and you think glorifying her in any way make you look good? maybe your the same type of person, you just havent been caught yet? really bad taste video
It's fun to be smart! It's also a torture to be too smart. Ladies and Gents, Chris Morocco!!
I also wonder if he can replicate the Cheetos-like products on the market.
How on earth does he do this? It's amazing!
Did you mark him down for both ingredients and technique re: the eggs in the cake? I think "egg whites, egg yolks" and "whole eggs" shouldn't count as different ingredients if the technique is marked down because those eggs were handled incorrectly
Haaaaa Chris is so pressed by his grade😅
Why is the breyers not ice cream?
