Ngl most of the time in this series I was usually finding the end scores generous but this was different. There was a lot of missing and wrong ingredients and it looked way different. End scores were way more than it actually was and I was a little bit bothered by it. 🤣

I think the first scores kind of set him up for failure. They were so close to his that it didn’t really give him the chance to realize he was way off with technique and ingredients. Same with appearance.

I…felt like the end scoring lost the fun these videos originally had… it felt like a passive aggressive performance review. I’m unsure if that was intentional, but this is food, I wish it was more light hearted…😢

Sorry but this is one of Chris' biggest failures. But admittedly, Baked Alaska is one of my least favorite desserts. Also, Martha's choice of Cherry "Ice Cream" is a product I abhor. IT tastes like Robitussin to me. I wouldn't even allow it into my house. At least Chris' version sounds edible.

Maraschino cherries are inedible IMHO. Give me Luxardo any day (or maybe Amarena if Luxardo is not available). If on the fake red maraschino are available, I would refuse to eat or use them and would prepare a different item.

Did you mark him down for both ingredients and technique re: the eggs in the cake? I think "egg whites, egg yolks" and "whole eggs" shouldn't count as different ingredients if the technique is marked down because those eggs were handled incorrectly
