Before I broke my neck and spine I used to be able to go quickly when using a knife.
Now I have to be careful.
I'm what's called a functioning quadriplegic, meaning I can move and function but don't really feel things the way I used to.
I have to pay close attention to what I'm doing, it's gotten easier but after slicing my fingers and hands several times and not realizing it until blood flowed I'm extra careful now.
😂 heck, I broke and dislocated my thumb, went to the doctor for something else, he noticed my thumb, checked it, said he'd get something to numb it so he could set it. I told him not to bother with the numbing since I didn't feel it happen.
He looked skeptical, fixed my thumb, said "Well, damn I've never encountered that before "
