Ramen Noodles. The Instant Pot or stove? Which is faster?

Today I’m sharing a funny little video I made with my family. I think that the Instant Pot will cook ramen noodles faster and my son thinks the stove will be quicker.

Super cute video!  Your son had a blast…..new Friday night fun idea to do with my daughter. She loves Ramen Noodles but thinks my Instant Pot obsession is ridiculous, LOL!!  Thanks!!

I have found a WONDERFUL, tasty, Gluten-Free Ramen Noodles at Costco that tastes like regular RNoodles. So I wondered IF I dare experiment making these in my 8qt IP as a new owner when GF pasta is made differently. I put in about 4 c water w/4 squares of RNoodles and set pressure cook at 3min due to the 4 packs. What a FAIL!! ; – ) When I did a quick release, my IP spewed & spewed what was the consistency of a thick wall-paper paste ALL OVER EVERYTHING. So…..I'm going to try again using one block and '0' min for pressure cook just to see if that would work for a Gluten-Free pasta. After that experiment, if I fail, I won't do a GF pasta in my pot again. Wish me luck! ; – )

I love your family did this! You are all winners! I'm a winner too because your are an American family who is setting such a good example of what family time is! Now if you get grandparents involved I would feel this is the way it used to be in the good old days. God bless your family. Linda Pruss 👵 ⛄

I think there should be a rematch using the Instant Pot’s sauté setting which essentially is the same as using the stove but uses less electricity, doesn’t heat up the kitchen, and is less of a fire hazard for people that are accident prone. I think the Instant Pot will win because it heats up quicker.

Adorable!! IP wins no matter what because what if you just don't feel like eating it immediately? It stays hot in IP and is ready whenever you want it (thanks to the "keep warm" setting) but stove-cooked, you have to heat it again, stir and watch it. No no not for me. IP wins!!
