    for anyone doing half measure like me, this is the recipe:

    3 tbsp peanut butter
    1.5 tsp soy sauce (dark)
    1.5 tsp rice wine vinegar
    0.5 tsp sesame oil
    1.5 tbsp chili oil (optional, add heat to taste)
    1 tbsp ginger (fresh) or *
    0.25 tsp ginger (powder)*
    1 clove garlic (fresh) or **
    0.5 tsp garlic (powder)**
    1.5-3 tsp water

    when it starts to simmer it is done.
    tbsp = tablespoon = 15ml
    tsp = teaspoon = 5ml

    Finally! A recipe where I've actually got all of the ingredients to make the dish. I usually quit recipe videos half way through because I need Fenugreek, Daikon, Kohlrabi etc or a selection of spices and pastes that I don't have or can't even get.

    Will be making this tomorrow, cheers.

    Iโ€™m guessing you must have used a gourmet peanut butter that had a lot of oil in it, because i never could get it to go beyond one big giant glop. Donโ€™t use Jif. I found this recipe about a year ago and i was so excited to make it today. It looked so simple and easy. But it didn't work out for me. ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”

    Hi Donal! Thank you so much! I hope to try this soon. Iโ€™ve wondered what the secret is to these kinds of noodles and youโ€™ve well and truly shown us that itโ€™s simple and achievable for anyone to make this at home. Grateful for your videos!

    I followed the exact recipe but ended up adding 3 more tablespoons of peanut butter…just cause i thought the sauce wasnt coating it sufficiently. Ruined it! Always go by the quantity mentioned..
    especially if you're making something for the first time.

    I make a Chinese style dish similar to this, but I use Chinese black vinegar and sesame paste (I use less sesame paste and more chili oil than in the video) – I like to eat it with Chinese pickled mustard greens. This is just like one of my favourite vegan dishes ever, I first had in the 90s and would go all the way to Chinatown from Brooklyn to get this in NYC, bypassing many of my favourite vegan hotspots. There is nothing like the complex flavour! I miss it so much since moving abroad.
