You let cats run amok when you have birds of prey hanging around? Not to mention possible coyotes, foxes, etc. Don't be surprised if you find yourself owning less animals. Also, if the dog ( Lukes therapy Dog ) is not eating well for 3 days, why have you not brought her to the vet? I'm trying very hard not to judge because I love you all, but I'm very sensitive when it comes to animals. I hope you vet them.

That cake is very common here in Australia we call it a tiffle. Usually at parties and holidays like Christmas and Easter 😊. Some people also make it cheeky and soak the cake in alcohol.

Noel and Charles, I absolutely love these vintage holiday videos. The music is spot on and the recipes bring me back to the 70's and 80's. I'm 72 and just love these videos!! Thank you so much and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family and pets!! Melaney from SoCal

I remember punch bowl desserts being really popular back in the late 80's to mid or late 90's in my neck of the woods. I still make my 'Death By Chocolate' in my punch bowl.
Give Cora some time to adjust Noel, some pups take longer than others to understand their surroundings.

Gosh now I’m hungry! 😂 I forgot to say too, the best thing you can do for pup is get her onto a good joint supplement. They get a lot of stress on their joints, and keeping her weight in the healthy range helps too.

Your problem is trying to cook a six week old chicken as you would cook a one year old retired hen. The flavors available are very different. It’s not so easy to find a stewing chicken/hen these days.

I know I haven't commented in awhile but Louisiana is just been having really bad luck and I'm behind watching YouTube videos. I can't get over how much Theo is talking now. And the pup is adorable! Have a wonderful, blessed Thanksgiving!

In the old recipes when it called for a stewing chicken they were referring to an older bird.
Fricassee or long slow stewing methods were about the only way to make the older birds tender.
Nowadays, you can cut the cooking time for fricassee down exponentially because birds that have been raised for market today are usually only about 10 to 12 weeks old.

I love how you “go the extra mile” for your family! I’m not sure it would occur to me to use a pumpkin cutter for biscuits, but now that I’ve seen you do it, it probably will! The chicken looked divine! Thank you for sharing!💕

The meal looks delicious! Had me drooling! Hopefully Cora will start eating better soon. You could always call and check in with the breeder or call your vet too. Great job on the lights in the barn Charles! You will have it all organized in no time I know! I am not going anywhere for Thanksgiving. In Illinois we've been told to stay home due to CoVid. But I would not be going anywhere anyway. My arthritis has gotten bad as I tried to do too much during an organizing project.
Wishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving! Your first one on your farm and with Cora!

Can you share the recipe for the “yummy” dessert? I spotted it in the bottom left corner when you were showing the trifle recipe and it sounds so good!
