I have to say that YouTube is such a great forum for presenting wonderful things by generous people. No one has to spend their time posting things like this but it's wonderful when they do. Simple. Normal folk. Sharing things that make us happy!

To improve the wonderful dish here: deglaze with half chicken broth and half cider for the liquid, use a good size cast iron fry pan to get a better sear, place a layer of chunks of onion on the bottom followed by the meat as layered here, and brush the meat with BBQ sauce (Sweet Baby Ray's is good). The flavor of the sauce is more intense if you put it on for the pressure cooker phase.

Applesauce with pork… makes sense for this age group. When they grew up, it was believed that trichonosis could be avoided if you combined it with apple products. Nowadays we just raise better pigs but it's still tasty! I hope that heavy breathing in this video is the puppy of the house…

There are differences in instructions between various cookers. However, the specific heat of steam is higher than air. A few minutes of steaming clears out the air and the steam fills the pot for quicker and more uniform cooking. A difference of opinion, perhaps. The difference, try it and you will be surprised. Thanks for looking and commenting.

Thank you for taking a look. At first the pressure cooker can seem intimidating but with a little practice and following the instructions it becomes a trusty kitchen friend. Let me know how your batch of ribs comes out. I'm sure you'll enjoy. It is so quick and easy.
