Never had pazole. Have, how ever, had lots of hominy fixed other ways…fried, creamed and in soups my grandmother call "pot luck soup"… I later called it… "refrigerator soup"… Because it was made from all the left overs in the fridge. This recipe looks delicious. Will be trying it this winter.
This brings back a lot of childhood memories growing up near Hatch N.M.. while some families had traditional Christmas meals most of my friends had Pozole. I felt that the lady with the grayest hair with arthritis in the hands and her face full of wrinkles which is a roadmap what she has seen,been through and what she has done made the best Pazole and hundred of old fashion recipes. Thank You Kirby for keeping this traditional old fashion recipe alive and handed down! 👏🏻🤟🏻👍
