why bother sterilizing jars and lids when they are going in the pressure cooker?
I’ve been cooking with pressure cookers for twenty five years and never knew that was a steamer rack! Guess that tells everyone how much attention I pay to the instruction book. I also didn’t know you could can dry beans in there. I love the electronic aspect of the cooker. Put stuff in, set your timer and get on with whatever else you want to do. It’s easier then getting dressed to go out and eat. Sometimes I use two or three at one meal. I always use several during a holiday meal. We love it. Every household needs at least one.

I have this pot. I call it my “MAGIC POT”. I use it all the time and have done some canning in it. I love that it doesn’t heat up the kitchen and it is so quiet. I am going to get another one because I don’t want to be without it. I love this pot. When I only have a small amount of something to can, it is perfect.
Hi Linda, i live in Florida which is at sea level. I wonder could i use this for stock. I used this last night on slow cooker setting for a pork roast and now i have all this wonderful stock i would love to save.. what are your thoughts?

Seems a bit of a waste to only be able to can in half-size jars. You'd need to empty out 2 or 3 of those jars to serve the beans to a family.

i have the same one,you can adjust the time for canning by manually putting the time you need for what you are canning example 1 hour and 15 minutes would be 75 minutes……i love mine
Is it a steam canner for low acids foods or a true pressure canner?? Only used it for low acids foods myself..
seems overkill to me.
i wash everything.. not sure if sanitizing is necessary the fruit or vegetables are not sanitized. .
i canned some peppers today.. 5 regular mouth jars fit well.

What is the purpose of the vinegar?
You NEVER sanitize in a dishwasher, the dishwasher won't heat the jars enough to kill bacteria. Always boil your jars and lids, then set them inverted on a clean dry towel.
Using the dishwasher to sanitize is a disaster waiting to happen when canning.

My husband bought this for me while I was in a nursing home for a couple of months. The food chopper fell apart the first time I pushed down on the top. The spring sent everything all over the room. I have an old one I've used for years from Pampered Chef, but I thought it might be getting dull. It certainly beats this company!

now u cant cannn with the electric preassure cooker cause it doesn't have the proper preasure regulator it needs

The thing is we almost bought one yesterday and I decided to make sure I could use it on my way no ceramic stove! I didn't know they were Electric or I would be stuck with it and believe it or not I turn Netflix on last night and there was a documentary about it! Praise God, he always looks after me and I'll watch this video and I actually cried! My mom started buying these when I was I child and I guess we've used them throughout our life! Think about this even cremation does not get rid of it, nothing can thanks for listening and please go check get out
Just check out a documentary on the internet about Teflon and what they did to the world what their poison chemicals! They were sued multiple times and millions of dollars were paid out to the lives they ruined and took! The chemical was in blood all over the world and never ever goes away and it's passed down through generations! It is a very sad story even though Teflon finally lost they change their name! Then they substituted one poison chemical for another and still get by with it today! That's what Industries do and get away with it! Their poison chemical C8 is found in our drinking water all over the country and I could not find Claim blood that did not contain it! I'm just asking for your children's safety please go check it out, and pray because it's a sad sad story that they could do that to the whole world and get by with it! Don't you think they should be in prison
