Omg I love some potatoe soup. I also leave the skins on no matter what. When we (well when it was "we" before divorce, really hate that word..divorce) made mashed potatoes, we called them "dirty potatoes" because regular potatoes are white, but the skins make it look like they're dirty…lol..(butter milk mayo salt and pepper)
When I was younger and my grammie would make baked potatoes…the good old fashioned poke holes bake in the oven ones. I would eat all the potato…pop the skin in the broiler for a few seconds then butter it salt and pepper it fold it in half and eat it like a burrito! You haven't lived till you do it that way…
I giggle at you and Shane fussing in the kitchen, lol. Sounds like me and my hubby arguing over the thermostat most days! Def. gonna try the soup – did you love it?
Your tater soup looked good. I've never fixed it with the peeling left on the taters but I may have to try that. I season mine with salt, pepper & parsley flakes. I put some cheese in it but we always add a topping of cheese to it in our bowls. If more salt is needed, each one adds what they want. If I don't have onions, I use onion powder or minced onion. Now if you just had a big ol' pan of cornbread, you'd have a humdinger of a meal! Made me hungry, girl! And I'm watching this at 1 am! Your tree is pretty. My decorations are minimal this year…a small red/green foil tree from DT on a little table in the living room. With all my health issues & it just being me & hubby now, just not up to it! We always decorated big when our son was growing up. Now him & his family usually has 2 trees & decorate inside & outside so cute! Their kids love it! Hope y'all have a blessed Thanksgiving!
