When you plant in new small plants, I noticed that you didn't score the rootball to loosen the roots. That always helps with my plants. Love how your gardens are looking . And the Hartley is coming along nicely.

You got me to pull the trigger on those large phlox this year as I need a blast of color at about that height. Because they are knew to me, I appreciated you attending to those phlox when you saw them needing pruning. That being said, it also worried me about those I just planted – do they continue to bloom throughout the year with pruning like you did or are they only spring color? Thanks!

Iโ€™m curious to know why you guys have such a large area to plant flowers. Are you in the business of re-selling or is this just because you canโ€™t get enough of it?

Tell me what that drill/auger thing is that you dig your planting holes with. Never have seen that! I want one!
Looks like a rechargeable electric drill with a long auger! Where do I get one? Thank you!

You really need to keep shrubs flowers and vines at minimum 4 feet from your air conditioning unit for better air flow. If not you can shorten life of compressor.

Every different place in your garden becomes my favorite place. Like when youโ€™re on the west side Iโ€™m like the west side is totally my favorite place. But then when youโ€™re in the south garden and the South Garden has so much opportunity totally my favorite. But then the west side of your house with that tall urn and sidewalk also totally my favorite. Then the country girl in me loves the chicken coop and the cottage vibes. And when Iโ€™m feeling sophisticated I love the versailles garden and of course the Hartley for when Iโ€™m feeling fancy.

Love those lilies . What zone are they? Probably not for 5B?
They did look like azaleas .
Have fun at the beach. Love the beach. Pretty land locked here in IL! One tip: sunscreen and a hat!๐ŸŒด๐ŸŒด๐ŸŒด๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿš๐Ÿš๐Ÿš

I've really enjoyed seeing how you have developed the westside garden. Bit by bit, year by year and it's filling in nicely and looking beautiful. You are an inspiration.

I'm a new subscriber to the channel. Laura, can you (or another long-time subscriber in the know) please tell me what planting zone you are in?

Thank you for your beautiful videos! Just curious, how much precipitation have you all received so far this year, and how does that compare with the same point in most years?
