powdered sugar typically is less sweet than granulated sugar because manufacturers add starch to powdered sugar! i imagine the person who wrote the recipe just didnt want someone to sub for all powdered sugar

Becky Hi, you’re so good at what you do, I love your energy and you’re honesty. Been watching your videos for so long now that you inspire me to be a copy cat of everything you’ve done so far. I just have to wait till I move to a house, we’re I can have space to cook. Thank you for all your time you give to us on showing us all you now, and for Josh, you’re so helpful to her in the garden, remodeling and tasting of everything she makes. God bless you’re marriage and the baby coming.

I LOVE that you’re not prefect and the recipe didn’t come out right the first time AND that you rolled with it and fixed it. I’m not perfect and neither is anyone else. I’ve messed up MANY a recipe even ones I’ve made many times 😂 thank you for being a real person and home cook ❤❤❤

I really enjoyed this, and I thank you so much for just being real when you made a mistake. You could have cut it out and we would never know. When I am at home cooking Christmas treats and make a mistake, I get upset. It helps so very much that you kept going because it is important not to give up. Thanks. B

To always have green onions on hand, i have a pot/ window planter with green onions growing in it. Cut the tops off when i need them, pull a few out to get the white stems too… Etc.
Perhaps, since you are used to having fresh herbs on hand in the garden, you can set up a few planters too, close to the Hens, so you would think to water or pick periodically, perhaps ?

This is my favorite video to date! It is my kitchen through and through. Store-bought oreos and peanut butter cups I feel renewed. I'm totally love the scratch cooking, but sometimes a video like this is validating despite all the discussion about "making do". Thanks!

Those Oreo truffles are not easy to make – at all! I’ve been making them for years at Christmas as Oreo balls and it took me a couple seasons to perfect them. I freeze the Oreo part and then use a toothpick to dip them. If you’ve ever made a buckeye, it’s similar to that. Anyway, these also make great Christmas candy – just dip and then use red and green chocolate to decorate and hide the dipping hole. 😊😊

Its something you eat around christmas time with your coffee, like you eat a cookie. Not a real dessert but loads of almonds! So josh is born in the Netherlands or America? When did his parents move?

Becky dear got to love you.
Yes, mistakes happen when cooking and it’s okay.
You are teaching others a valuable lesson: it’s okay if you make a mistake or something doesn’t turn out. We learn from it and move on.
Not fun to have mishaps but, oh well life happens.
I like getting all my ingredients out that I can for my recipe if I can and prepping what I can because it makes it easier. Yes, I must read a recipe more than once or I forget something. I use sticky notes to make reminders if need be.
But, your doing a great job. ❤️

I made beef stew last week without beef stock. My thought process, “we always have bullion cubes and onion soup mix. I don’t need to buy more.” We had neither. It was okay but it was made with chicken stock. I had all the ingredients for homemade onion soup mix but again the beef bullion. Still good but not as easy as I was thinking at 10 am on a Saturday morning.

For Halloween pumpkin you can also cut triangle shapes for eyes and long zig zag shapes for mouths out of red bell peppers. On the mummy you can also make GOAST by spooning white chocolate over and let it run out to look like a sheet without wrap marks then place eyes on. On spiders you can use toothpick and put red frosting dot on their back to make them black widow spiders. Love that you have so much fun. Will come in so handy for your baby having Halloween parties growing. Love you and your show
