Oh yeah! Great sauce, great beans. I want to emphasize that FRESHLY RENDERED LARD makes all the difference in the world. Do NOT omit it! I always keep a homemade stash in the freezer. Thanks Rick. Nice to meet you!

Why not?! A question and a call to live now! If not in all of life then 100% in the kitchen! Beautifully said- especially when cheese, and pork products are involved😍🐷

I LOVED the impromptu fashion show at the end. I LOVE tu padre and I LOVE watching your videos. Your energy is contagious! Unfortunately, I have fissures on my tongue that make black pepper and vinegar spicy. Which means I dont get to experience or enjoy heat in the way people with normal tongues do. For people with tongue fissures, anything with spice in it is approximately 100 times hotter. However, I still love watching what you make! My mom grew up in El Paso, TX and made a lot of Tex-Mex food when we were growing up and watching you is just like watching her cook. <333

Love this show and Rick with his gorgeous nails, shirts and aprons. Was that bag of shirts from Zarn's? I'm in lust for all of them! Your food is fantastic, the flavors are definitely front and center and not difficult to make – a plus. Thanks for doing this show, was missing you on BA!

This looks tasty, but if I’m not crazy, toasting flour over open flames and tossing it seems like a major fire flare up waiting to happen.

Oh my lord, enough cheese to kill a horse, but looks so incredible. Makes me miss Texas! I have refried beans on the docket for this week but will try to make the whole meal sometime this summer. Love Rick's dad so much!!

I have the sauce simmering RIGHT.NOW!! Great video and as a person who is just getting started with video and also a 1 person show … holy cow!!! If you had not said that you were doing the camera stuff, the only clue would have been missing the fun banter, but I have at least an inkling of how tough it can be to be the camera person AND the chef while trying to get good shots without destroying the food!

going from speaking proper english to pronouncing a word in spanish is so annoying to me. Tortillas. jesus christ man no one cares. why stop there? most english words are from italian or spanish or french. can not stand it. so pretentious.
