I use to work at Taco Bell, and I can tell you that every individual ingredient that they make tastes exceptionally bland all on its own. The beef, cheese, tomatoes, sour cream, lettuce, yes, I said the lettuce even tasted less like lettuce!

The only exception to this would be the Pico de gallo and the chili cheese burrito beef.

This is why it’s almost impossible to emulate. It somehow tastes great when all combined with hot sauce but incredibly bland individually.

When someone tells you that the beef is delicious, they have no clue what they are talking about.

Folks! The beef is grade D! There is no YouTube emulation of Taco Bell; it simply does not exist!

If you want to eat at Taco Bell, you pretty much have to go to Taco Bell!

Also, the flour tortillas are thinner than any tortilla you can find in any store and taste nothing like store-bought tortillas.

Emulating Taco Bell is a complete joke, and the ingredients are secret, so good luck!

BTW the Mexican pizza is fried with white corn tortillas and somehow made in a way that it comes out of the fryer exceptionally flakey and filled with voids.

What you just made tastes nothing like a Taco Bell Mexican pizza! Joke!

WRONG!!! First.. the tortillas are flour, NOT corn/flour. It is literally the soft taco tortilla deep fried. I know this, because I actually worked there and fried all the shells,(back in the day before everything was premade). I also cooked the beef from scratch and made the beans in a gigantic pressure cooker.
Second, your pizza sauce should NOT be blended. It is, or was, very chunky and spicy. You could see tomato and green peppers in it when you scooped it out. Other than that, pretty good. The meat looks on point, but again, its NOT blended. 😆

PSA… Taco Bell does not cook thier beef in store. It is precooked and stored in a bag to which is prepped in the mornings/upon need by being boiled in a pot of water still sealed in bag. Then dumped in metal pan and served.
Looking forward to trying out the recipe. 💯

Back in the 80's i used to cook the beef 10 pounds at a time.. that was tiring, but we started with the raw meat and then we added the wet taco paste to the meat then constantly stirring.. also the pizzas sauce had like small melting chunks of tomatoes.. im thinking crushed tomatoes.. and we also deep fried flour tortillas back then to make the pizzas and the taco bell lights.. but those shells broke to easy.. my solution to cooking the meat is,… get a tall pot about 6 inch tall.. add your beef.. and a seasoning packet.. of taco bells fajita seasoning.. and then stir the mess out of it, (or like whipping it good against the sides of the pot) till its cooked.. drain the grease.. and add back to pot add another packet of the seasoning and a little bit of water.. you will have a fine grain taco bell meat.. also back then it came with green onions and black olives on top with the tomatoes..

You do not need a food processor, just break up the beef in warm water before cooking it. Use your hand to break up the beef. Then you can cook. Same texture.

Oh no…..I've had the Mexican pizza from Taco Bell so many times after a night of drinking. "so many times" :/ I'm pretty sure its made with fried flour tortillas…. Unless you live in a different country and they used corn but yeah….. flour tortillas all the way! Other than that, great vid.

Mexican pizza was my absolute favorite menu item. I grew up eating it whenever I went to Taco Bell. I seriously considered a boycott when I realized it was gone. They even got rid of the Spicy Tostada, which was another favorite. Sadness.
