It helos to use a canning funnel to put your freeze dried food in jars !!
Yes, the jar vacuum sealers work, there a 2, one that attaches by tube to food saver and one that is rechargeable and stands alone. Goid luck
I'm glad to see your still putting out great content. I've been gone for 2 years and I'm back.
Are there any issues crossing international borders with freeze dried veg?
Hi happy mothers day! We have freeze dryer, snakes, fresh fruit owlala!! But the best is 18 eggs scrambled will fill a tray, we use these for baking, and camping. Zucchint shaved ,great for thicking soup, casscoles. We love ours and really use it for so many think, dream it and freeze it!! Have fun, love you channel, thanks
I have watched your channels for a long time. I enjoy almost every single one. But, I cannot watch whenever you use the freeze dryer. You obtain it free and use it as directed! Another but, someone has to pay for it.
Happy Mother’s Day Carol ! Thank you guys for showing the freeze drying process, I have always wanted to know how that all was . Enjoyed watching the flag flying, hope your weekend with family was amazing !♥️🇨🇦
Coffee filters with the end cut off a bit will work temporarily for putting your freeze dried food into bags or jars😊
HaHaHaHa, I'm laughing at myself. When you started sealing the bag, my thought was "Wait, what about the oxygen absorber?" Rewound back about a minute to be sure I didn't miss it (Oxygen absorber). Then I'm saying out loud to my TV "Wait, what about the oxygen absorber". And almost if it were planned, you said "I forgot the Oxygen absorber. But that's ok, we're going to eat it, ya know, and experiment". How funny to me. Timing was like we were having a conversation in the same room. Well, at least to me, it was funny. Guess ya had to be there 😆
Flag pole looks nice !! Great job.
And I have to tell you, the channel, I think, has got to be one of the most professional presenting videos in my subscription list. I have A LONG subscription list 😁 ThankU to the whole family for such quality content!!
Love our Harvest Right. Big learning curve we found, but loved digging it out. We found we put too much in jars and bags, once rehydrated it was a very large amount of food. Probably works for you guys with a big family, not for Noah and I. Great video. Love following your adventures. Thank you very much for the time and effort that goes into filming and editing(also for keeping family friendly).
nice job love our flag
if you set your Mason jar IN the pan when filling it, you don't have any spill…it stays in the pan
Lots of great projects and how cool that you will have all those homemade freeze dried meals with when you hit the road 🙂
Lots of good advice in the comments on freeze drying. One additional one is if the process stops and the food refreezes, which harvest Right does if it sits too long without you taking it out, you should always want the trays before removing them from the freeze dryer. If you pull out cold trays and condensation can form on the food that you may not even notice. This will make food go bad over time. Also when you did the test you only had one tray. You should always have all four trays in the harvest Right whenever you run it. First of all he uses the same amount of electric. Second I've heard that doing it often can damage the unit however I don't have first-hand experience of that. But it is what harvest Right recommends.
That was nice that you included Carol’s Mother in recognizing all the Mothers.😊
happy belated mamas day my friend❤❤hope you had an awesome day and thank you for sharing with us, take care and stay safe and freeze dryin food are handy to have❤❤❤❤❤
Loved the bird sounds at the beginning❤
Happy mamas day Carol!
😂I'm yelling at the screen "Wait! You didn't put in the oxygen absorber!!!"… but you couldn't hear me, lol. But you figured out.
Wait until you dehydrate the strawberries and eat them dehydrated oh my God the taste is so intense. You have to try them before you hydrate them.
You can get a manual bleed breaker to seal the jars as well as the electric versions, though I would still recommend a very small oxygen absorber just to be sure. Great video, and happy mother’s day to all the mum’s out there!
I’m so glad you got the free dryer. It’s a game changer. I’m telling you and all the stuff that you can freeze try and have for your trips and not having to worry about going to the store. You have meals already prepped. I hope you enjoy it I love mine.
I was hoping that you would do a cooking book Carol?? Because I am a little deaf & I don't always hear what you say⚘️⚘️⚘️
Don't forget about earthquakes make sure your shelfs have lips on them just in case
Happy Mother's Day Carol. Nice job on chairs & table also that flag brilliant showing Canada's flag. I can't believe that freeze Dry machine excellent. You can do so much with those machines. Cheers❤
TREATS for the pup!!! And dog food too…..
Happy Mother's Day Carol!!! Waoh, you guys have been busy restoring and upgrading things around the cabin and now freezing meals. Great job to all. Love and be safe! 😘🤗🌼ve
Nice Job!! We can ALMOST taste the lasagna through the screen!!!!
I like that you fly the Canadian flag exclusively…after all, you’re in Canada. I live in the USA, very near the Canadian border, and I’m not wild about homes that fly Canadian (Castro Jr.) flag, even when it’s with the US (Brandon) flag. Even better, you’re not flying the Ukraine (comedian) flag. You’re good people.
Happy Mother's day!❤
💪🫶👋👍😘
How large of a solar system do you have? How much did the freeze dryer drain your batteries after 24 hrs?
