    about auditory signals, when my father taught first taught me to cook, he always said "wait until the butter sings" to add whatever you're cooking to your pan. Also, I usually use quinoa instead of lentils in my chilis.

    Fun fact, putting the insulation ring in the dishwasher will not only sanitize it but also clear it some. If it's still colored then leave it near a window as the UV rays turn it back to normal.

    I like your use of lentils to give more intermediate texture to the chili. Black beans are my favorite after Chi Chi beans. I love Tex Mex and Korean food which is where I had black beans initially as a condiment to Bibimbop. You both pair so well in your videos and I can't get enough of the humor!

    I made some vegan chili a few years back, and used finely chopped brazil nuts as my meat substitute it turned out really good. When the nuts absorbed some of cooking liquids, the texture ended up being very much like meat.
