I make beans in my pressure cooker. 2 cups of beans. Add enough water to cover beans by 3 inches. Add salt and pepper. You can add ham if you like. Pressure for 40 minutes. Pure perfection!

Your potatoes look scrumptious! I love my Instant Pot! You have been my inspiration to begin prepping😊 Before placing all the liquids in the pressure cooker, I would keep more liquid out at the beginning and keep a half cup back and add cornstarch or arrowroot powder to it and add at the end if you wish to thicken it more like a stew.❤️

I'm a huge proponent of dehydrating home grown potatoes to retain that wonderful flavor. Like a taste of heaven in January when the temps drop and the snow's flying.

We always made a turkey soup with the carcass after roasting a turkey or turkey breast. So hearty and delicious! Your stew/soup looks fantastic!

I love stews with rice, I usually put the ingredients in the slow cooker in the morning. Chicken, Beef, Turkey….whatever you're in the mood for. I'm learning to perfect my own gravies so that I don't have to purchase the pricey store bought mixes. Sometimes I use gravy master, a bottle lasts a long time.

Never heard of turkey stew??? I make it every year with Thanksgiving left overs. 😄 Whenever I make something with carrots I add a 1/2 Tsp of sugar. It brings out the flavor of the carrots. I had to laugh about your pretty little potato that you grew. 😄😄😄 Man, that stew looked delicious! 😋 I know you enjoyed it.
    Blessings, my friend. 💜✝

We make similar stews using all kinds of meat. Venison, chicken, beef, pork, etc., it’s all good in a stew. It’s hard to beat a good stew with fresh biscuits or corn bread. We got a good deal on chicken last week, leg quarters were $0.49/lb and boneless breasts were $1.10/lb, we canned up the chicken so it would make for fast meals when we use it.

First of all, well done on those fabulous potatoes! I remember seeing them growing in past videos, but that is a great result – and being able to use them whole with their skins is so much better!
I haven't seen an electric pressure cooker. My late mother had the saucepan type, but it was really heavy and I know she was terrified of it. That pressure cooker is ideal, you could easily sit it outdoors to cook as well.
I was ready to put a plate out watching that video, because the meal looked wonderful. When you get a thinner stock, it lends itself so well to an excuse for a bread roll. AP, I am still waiting for my pressure canner, ordered in July. I had hoped to can potatoes, but I will have to see how much longer it takes to arrive. I am more than ready to start pressure canning now. Thanks, enjoy and take care!!
