Subbed! I just got an IP and started with this video. I used the same measurements except used chicken stock as liquid and added pepper and garlic. It turned out perfect with no residual liquid. Total time from closing the lid to letting sit 12 minutes and opening was 25 minutes. PERFECTION- thanks!
Hi Poonam,
I am big fan of your recipes, just curious what is size of instant pot that u use ? I am new to the instant pot world, if u can please guide the recipes that u share for instant are on what size ?
I have 8 quart duo..it does not have manual button..I get confused if I set time and press start delay doesnt do anything..please help
I thought you had to rinse the quinoa first?
Even a dumbass like me can't screw this up. Thank you for this. Not sure why you are getting thumbs down for this video. Probably people expecting something complicated.
When you opened and closed your pot, there is an ascending and descending tone sequence – in your video it's fast – maybe 1 to 2 seconds start to finish. Mine usually does this much slower – maybe five seconds. Why? (A few times it did the tone sequence fast)
I didn’t see any quinoa in that video. I was too busy watching Poonam. She is beautiful.
Best way to cook Quinoa is to 'slow cook' it for 15 minutes and then leave it for 10 minutes in steam. That way, all the chemicals escape while cooking and steam gets absorbed.
Love it
Nailed it! Thank you!
everyone tells you to put it for 1 (one) minute, but they never tell you how long you allow it to sit before you release the steam or take it out. Thank you
I'm about to have middle of the night quinoa. Really looking forward to this and appreciate the time to make this video. I did rinse my quinoa so I hope it is still void of mushiness.
I usually use the Pot-in-Pot method for rice and grains in my Instant Pot. Have you tried it?
Thanks for doing a basics video! Very helpful!
Next time please rinse it,
I made 3 batches of quinoa while watching this video.
This was the first thing I made in my instapot-I always wondered how Whole Foods had such fluffy quoina on their hot bar-now I make it at home! Thanks for this fool proof recipe Poonan!
I just bought the instant pot. I'm trying the recipes you have posted love the Indian recipes and the American ones.
I'm going to try this tonight….I hate mooshy quinoa….so I hope this works
I love to use my Instant Pot for dried beans, rices, and grains…in bulk. It took me a while to figure the right times for each, but now it's so easy and I have a good supply of basics in the freezer. Thank you for this video!!
Hi, I'm wondering if you have done this with a larger quantity of quinoa? If I was making a larger portion, 3-4 cups of quinoa, would I cook it for 3-4 minutes instead of only 1 minute?
I followed this exactly and it turned out perfectly! Just wondering now so that I can make for a larger crowd. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing! I followed your technique and it worked just perfect ! 👍this was very helpful! Quinoa is so good for you!
