Can you do a video on you favorite knives and how you properly maintain the cutting edge?
Looks interesting, and while I totally agree with the trimming and cutting the sprouts in half (to the horror of most other Brits), I keep the cooking to no more than 5 minutes – any more, and you risk them going bitter.
May favourite finish is to fry some smoked bacon lardons until crispy, add in some sweet chestnuts and a teaspoon of honey and then stir the cooked sprouts through the honey and bacon fat mixture, for the perfect Christmas dinner side dish.
The only problem with this dish is that I would eat every single bite in about two minutes.
So a “pee-can” is something you keep beside the bed at the hunting cabin, while a “pe-con” makes my favourite pie. ( my granddad always said that lol)
