I've been craving purple hull peas and chow chow.
Shelled a ton at least. We would all go pick and then all would shell. Nothing better than blackened peas and cornbread. I love them all, but purple hull is my favorite.

I can't even begin to express the memories I have of shelling peas on the porch at grandma Hattie's house during my summer vacations in Thomaston, Alabama. The absolute best peas!
