One of my favorite meals! I just recently bought some liquid smoke (never tried before) because it seems like it is hard to find smoked meat anymore that gives food a good smoked flavor. Many years ago when cooking with smoked meat, I didn't have to add salt to my beans, but the last few times using smoked meat, it did not give my beans any flavor…I guess it depends on brand used.
